Experienced Front -End Developer

Front-End developer

Personal attributes:

Technically aware, enthusiastic individual who is passionate about front end development, appreciates great user experience and design, and proactively experiments with upcoming front end technologies.

Have attention to detail, be able to self-manage, and show initiative, work well independently as well as collaborating in a team.

Essential experience:

This is primarily a position for a front end developer, your portfolio should demonstrate you have worked on web projects before, please include any links to web sites (at least 3) you have produced in your CV, clearly stating your contribution to the site.

Essential skills:

Most importantly we require someone with a keen interest in creating fantastic online user experiences. As well as the following

• First-class XHTML/CSS, AJAX, Javascript, jQuery

• Good working knowledge of solving cross-browser CSS issues (IE6, IE7, Firefox>1.5 and Safari>3.0 etc)

• Understanding of Web Usability, Accessibility Standards and User Interaction

• Basic working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop

• Knowledge of Flash, XML, DOM and design patterns will be advantageous

• A strong understanding of the possibilities and potential of online content

• Good communication skills with the ability to accurately interpret briefs and respond in timely turnarounds

Other desirable skills:

Though this is primarily a development role any additional knowledge of the following will also be an advantage:

• Prior experience working as a freelancer

• Understanding of eCommerce, SEO and online marketing techniques and strategies

• Great team working

• Enthusiasm and ability to get the job done to high standards
